Reading Buddies

Math: Today, the students discussed how to make groups of 10. I made several examples on the board. First, I asked students to estimate how many (hearts, dots, and x’s) there were, then I asked students to count groups of 10 with me. Once we were done, we talked about how many (hearts, dots and x’s) were left outside the groups of ten and how many there were all together.
**Students did great at this when working together as a class, but when we broke into our table groups students found it difficult. I ask that you practice this concept at home this weekend.**
